It did not occur to him that his friends were here to help him. "Maybe it has gone off to answer the call? What has happened?” wondered Frodo. At once, Frodo rose from the floor and staggered blindly, looking for a way out. As the ringing died out, he heard another strange noise. He lay there for a moment as the burning cooled down and the ringing in his ears faded. It always appears in the morning or evening sky, either east or west, and never straight. Venus is the brightest planet, and brighter than all of the stars in the sky including Sirius (The elves called this Helluin). Frodo dropped the palantir and let it roll across the ground. the other clue is that it is called the morning star or evening star, which is what Venus is often called. The flames consumed themselves into nothing, and all was still. There was only the lingering ring in Frodo’s ears. Without warning, it became completely silent. Not only his hands, but his arms as well now felt as if they were on fire. The pain intensified, and Frodo cried out again. He closed his eyes tight, but the vision of the flames was burning in his mind. It began to pain Frodo to touch it, but he was unable to move his hands from the surface. Elrond shows his sons Erendil's star, and remembers how he used to watch it when he was younger. Catching himself with his hands, he felt a strangely cold, smooth, round object on top of the pedestal in front of him. He was so unsure of his surroundings that he felt as if he could fall into an abyss if he took a single step in any direction! The uruk-hai shoved Frodo forward and he collided into a low table, or pedestal of sorts. Frodo Baggins' exclamation in The Two Towers (the line appears in The Return of the King in the Peter Jackson films), Aiya Erendil Elenion Ancalima which is Quenya, and translates to 'Hail Erendil, brightest of stars' Frodo's exclamation was in reference to the 'Star-glass' he carried, which contained the light of Erendil's star, the Silmaril. It was so dark in the room that Frodo didn’t know where to go.
